19:30 – 22:00
Here is another chance to attend the legendary WTC First Aid course, taught by Joanna Conroy, a very experienced senior paediatric nurse, and paediatric life support instructor.  It covers topics such as resuscitation, febrile convulsions and choking, amongst others.  Invaluable knowledge, that we hope we never have to use!

Balham Wednesday Playgroup
St Stephen's Church
09:45 – 11:45
Come along to our playgroup in a lovely, big church hall. There are toys for all ages and lots of space for the little ones to run/crawl/toddle around in. There's a hot cuppa for the adults and snacks for the children and we'll have a sing-a-long too. Playgroup is free to attend but when we have Lily there doing the singing then we require a contribution of £2 to help pay for this but if you can’t afford it / have lost your wallet / have no cash on you, please don’t let that put you off from coming, as you can always bring double the next week. There are parking spaces outside the church but it's permits only between 10&12 and you can only pay to park for an hour at a time. There are spaces round the corner on Atkins Road where you can park for longer. There are bus routes which stop nearby and it's a 10 ish minute walk from Balham station. Please note: To gain entry, please press the buzzer for 'Church' and one of us will let you in. Also, if your little ones are older and not sleeping, the church would prefer it if you left your buggy outside in the buggy park.

EXPECT THE BEST  Chris and Rose are highly qualified nannies, with a combined 20 years’ experience. Chris is a breast-feeding specialist, sleep trainer and maternity nurse. Rose has a degree in Early Childhood studies, a diploma in the practical care of children, she is also trained in emotion coaching, baby massage, sleep and food and nutrition. They are the co-founders of Expect the Best. In addition, they have both been working with families who have twins/multiples for a number of years. We set up Expect the Best, with the aim of supporting parents and helping them to feel confident and secure as they navigate the trials of raising children. We aim to always be honest and non-judgmental. We believe that no question is a bad question.  We have seen it all when it comes to managing twins. We have lots of tricks up our sleeves so come and find out what we have to offer.   THE TALK The talk will cover tips on managing behaviour in toddlers! Tickets are £17.50 each or two for £30 and are strictly on a first come first served basis. Concessions are available - please get in contact to discuss. There will be time for networking with other twin parents at the beginning of the workshop, as well as an opportunity to purchase food and drinks from the bar.
