The Summer Party
Thanks to everyone who came along to the Summer Party. We didn't have any rain this year so it maybe wasn't as dramatic as last year – no thunderstorms and people stranded on the bouncy castle!
On the other hand, a dry day this year felt like a real bonus and we thought it was an excellent event for everyone. The Scout Hut had lots of space to at the front for the older children (and their parents) to run around, jump on the bouncy castle, wave to the puppets, run under a colourful parachute and basically wear themselves out before tea. The gated area at the back had some slightly more sedate playing with water and on the baby gyms. Everywhere you looked, beautifully decorated children wandered past - the face painter was a real highlight.
We hope you all enjoyed it. At least 36 families came and we took nearly £400 on the door including raffle money, most of which has gone into Snong and Rayek fund. Thanks to those people who donated prizes.
We hope to see lots of you at the Christmas party in December. If anyone has any ideas about things they would like to see at that event or at the next Summer party then do tell Helen or anyone on the committee.

Buddying
We have quite a few new members at the moment and need volunteer buddies to pair them up with. Being a buddy to a new member need not be a big commitment, a few phone calls or emails, meeting up once or twice and really just being available to give a bit of advice and support.
Just think back to how tricky those first few months could be and what a help it could be to have someone to talk to who has been there!
If you are interested in being buddy please contact Rachel Lamb.

WTC Message Board
The Message Board is for WTC members to advertise items that they are selling. There is also an Items Wanted section for members to list things that they need. Members should feel free to post for sale and wanted items, start discussions and join in discussions that are underway.
Please note that anyone can view the listings but only members can post.
To post, members need to login, enter the section of the message board, then click on the “NEW THREAD” box and write!

Coffee Mornings
The Wandsworth Twins Club coffee mornings are thriving. If you haven’t been to one yet then give it a try! They are particularly useful for mothers expecting twins to meet new people and get advice on equipment and routines and hear other people’s stories about birth and those first challenging weeks. They are a great opportunity for new mums (and dads) to get out of the house and talk to others who are going through the same experiences.
Dates of up and coming coffee mornings are on the Events page and details can be found in the newsletter and in the latest email updates for members.
Remember that it’s very important that you ring in advance of a coffee morning to let the host know you are coming.
If you would like to volunteer to be a coffee morning host then please contact Catherine Payne.
